To create a short video for Hartlepool Borough Council in support of their Love Hartlepool campaign. It is in response to the incredibly biased view of Hartlepool shown in the Channel 4 show Skint Britain: Friends Without Benefits. We were excited to show a more fair and balanced view of Hartlepool and some of its amazing people.
The titles introduce the video with some of the most repeated myths about Hartlepool and the North, counting down to the main footage, which instantly dispels those myths. Simple statements throughout reinforce the Love Hartlepool message.
FILMING & EDITING
The film was produced and edited in a 48 hour turnaround using footage we had previously taken for Hartlepool Borough Council as well as some archive footage of our own that we’d taken recently. Filmed using various cameras including Drones, RED Cinema cameras and numerous smaller cameras.
The video was soon shared on social media. It was watched a staggering 50,000+ times and was shared over 1,600+ times on Facebook. The total engagement was over 20,000+ people.
